Guarantee of quality for your stay in Cotentin
Cotentin Tourisme is a group of tourism professionals from Cotentin. Created in 1998, its goal is to offer visitors a quality offer to guarantee their satisfaction during their stay.
Thus, its 57 members who are hotels, campsites, restaurants, local producers, tourist and leisure sites have been selected according to the quality of their services. These are the best addresses that highlight:
Their know-how and the expertise of qualified professionals
Their desire to continuously improve their services, for the satisfaction of their customers, by exchanging good practices among themselves
The products of their region, and more broadly the sites to visit and the activities available.
Le Cormoran campsite, old member of Cotentin Tourisme
Since the beginning of Cotentin Tourism, we have been part of the campsites of this group. We were even one of its founding members. Participating in a dynamic of professionals proud of their territory and who want to give the best image to their customers is an indispensable challenge for us.
The advantages enjoyed by each member are manifold:
- A presentation of his establishment on the welcome and information brochure of the association
- A promotion of its activity on their website www.cotentin-tourisme-normandie.fr
- A punctual highlight on the social networks of the group.
The benefit of reductions and discounts from its partner suppliers.
Invitations to evenings organized by the network
And more broadly, the benefit of the virtuous effects of a network: partnership, solidarity, exchanges, sharing …
Experiences to live for your holidays in Cotentin on the advice of Cotentin Tourisme
Cotentin is located in the department of Manche, in Normandy. It represents around a third of this department. Its flagship city is Cherbourg, a port renowned for its umbrellas, thanks to the film by Jacques Demy, and for its military port. It was also the place of liberation with the Allies in 1944 who chose Normandy to land. Their priority objective was to take Cherbourg to unload their logistics in the port which has a primordial advantage: it is in deep waters.
Besides, Cotentin hosts one of the D-Day beaches: Utah-Beach, a site on which you can also visit the remarkable Museum of the Normandy landing. Do not forget the other museums on that same theme which are also members of Cotentin Tourisme like the D-Day Experience and the World War II Museum. They offer impressive collections.
But Cotentin is not just about D-Day. Indeed, this territory is full of numerous and diverse tourist assets. For gourmets, many local producers will show their specialties: cider, dairy, sea and land products. Let us quote for example the cider of Théo Capelle, the Ham of Lessay or the beers of Sainte-Mère-Eglise or Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, all members of Cotentin Tourisme. But also, delicacies like at the Maison du Biscuit (a palace for gourmands) or Lait Douceur de Normandie and its famous “Dulce de leche”.
For lovers of nature and history, you will not be disappointed and will make beautiful walks: the wild and unspoiled nature of the Hague, the long beaches of the Côte des Iles, the port villages of the Val de Saire or the Cotentin marshlands – to discover by boat on the Barbey d’Aurévilly or on the Rosée du Soleil – will offer you great emotions. As for the Cité de la Mer, the Manoir du Tourp, Tatihou Island or the Cider museum, these sites will allow you to experience the past or present history of our territory as well as its maritime wealth.
And above all, don’t forget to taste the flavors of our region by going to our restaurants who will be happy to welcome you and offer you the best of Cotentin to satisfy your senses.
